3-43. You do not need to do anything. God has already done everything when you were Created. You are Perfect, just as God is Perfect. When you are ready, you will remember this Truth.
The assumption of the necessity for action is inherent and intrinsic to the ego, but it is not reflected in Truth. The ego desires to blind you with conditional worthiness, which is oftentimes why success within the material world is consistently and inseparably associated with the production of goods and services, as if creating some new gadget is directly associative with the addition of value in any manner that is genuine at all. And so do we see that the most “successful” are often portrayed as the ones most oriented with the creation of materialistic consumption and the means for increasing amounts of resource utilization without any due consideration of the environmental, let alone spiritual, detriment that may occur when consumption is valued above experience. All of this is reflective of the ego, and not of God, for God asks for nothing at all but offers everything that could ever be needed. Anything material is a poor and fleeting substitute for that which is eternal, and all that is eternal is designed to be able to transform experience into Experience. What is it that forms your greatest and most precious memories? The bauble or toy that you were given or purchased? Or is it rather that which you experienced, regardless of the exact material apparatuses that were employed to deliver such an experience to you? This question is crucial, for much turns upon its honest evaluation. To say that to acquire anything at all will provide the peace that has been, heretofore, absent is indeed to mistake that which is temporary for the permanence and certainty of God. All that is of this world will disappear, of that you can be certain. All that is of God will never be lost, even if you forget absolutely everything that is directly representative of God and of Love. What you forget is not lost, it is simply waiting for your return to Truth. To do is not to be. That is the summation of the vexation that you face when you propose that to achieve anything of lasting value involves this material world, for it never has and it never will. This perspective is deeply opposed to consumerism in every form, and so it may be immediately rejected upon first glance, for it proposes that having or not having any particular item is not at all directly relevant to the peace that naturally accompanies a surrender to Love. But it is True, none the less. All that is material are tools, useful at times but ultimately devoid of any genuine value, for they can only assist to create situations within which experiences can be enjoyed. This is perhaps why we are enamored of taking photos, but how many of us enjoy reveling within regarding photos of their prior possessions? Is that a valuable manner in which to spend your time, or is that simply a hollow prospectus that assigns joy to owning anything at all, when genuine Joy is experienced through the heart, a peace that transcends all logic or reason and a feeling of contentment that cannot be altered by any particular material situation or its corresponding absence. To do is not to be; what does that actually mean, if it is regarded from the heart’s knowledge rather than from the mind’s misperceptions? In Truth, you are already Perfect, for you were Created by God and you can obscure your nature from yourself, but you cannot hide from God. You can run away from all that you are for as long as you continue to wish to believe that pretending to be imperfect is valuable. It is not, but that’s not at all relevant to a spirit who has become enwrapped in the ego’s desire to obfuscate Truth to such a degree that lies seem more attractive than the simple acceptance of your innate Divinity. You do not need to do anything to “earn” this perfection - it is already who you Are, in Truth. But that is not at all what the ego wants, for the ego depends upon your faith in its presentations as having value, so that the ego might sustain itself upon your energetic offerings of loyalty and support. Yet there is another way. You can look within, and though deep and considered contemplation, you can attempt to locate and then release all that you believe that you find to be indicative of unworthiness in any way. Once found, with bravery and determination, these Gordian knots of misperception can be untangled and released. Fear not that this task is impossible - all that is asked of you by God is possible, without limit, for there is nothing that cannot be achieved when faith is transformed by your steady application of surety in the Truth of Love into a Faith that will sustain you though all that is yet to occur. It matters not if you are not ready, at this exact moment, to free yourself from all that you believed to be genuine accomplishment, so that you might begin liberating yourself from the bonds of accumulation that so weigh your soul with desires that are not reflective of anything that can bring you peace in any way at all. Tools cannot be loved. This is a straightforward statement, yet it speaks to a deeper conflict that must be resolved before further progress can be made. All that is useful is as such because it can be utilized to assist you with material challenges - that is all. No mansion, no yacht, and no exorbitantly priced car can free you from a feeling of desperation that must always accompany the desire for more, a yearning that is based upon a dislocation and disassociation from your heart - not one that is directly related to anything that has occurred or that has not occurred within this world. Quest not for the brilliant career or massively overfilled bank account - these tools will not bring you anything that you ask of them, for they are but material accumulations of resources that have no intrinsic value. What is valuable in a manner that will remain ineffable until you are ready to begin questioning even the most basic assumptions that you have made about what is actually worthy of your attention is, simply, you. You are an infinite and unique expression of the Totality of Creation. That is your value and it is inalterable. You can remain asleep to this beauty for as long as you’d like. But while you do, you will not know how it might be that peace could be transformed into Peace, for you will be seeking endlessly outwards for a resolution that must come from within. Look to your heart for Truth, for this world will not provide it in any manner that can be relied upon consistently and eternally. That is not the function of this world - that is not how or why it was designed as it is, and that is not its purpose at all. Your heart alone holds this role, and you are welcome and welcomed to return to your heart whenever you wish, for within its serene stillness you will begin to remember that simply being has always been, and will always be, the complete and total summation of all of the value that you have ever needed, And lo, from such an inquiry will you find that indeed, you were already possessed of this value, for you are unique, and so you cannot ever be replaced by anything at all. By accepting your innate worthiness to God, you will begin to be willing to accept it for yourself, and so many of the ego’s walls will begin to collapse as the Light of Love that animates all that Lives is found again within the mists of isolation that the ego has used to ply you with riches in the place of peace. Your Home with God is your heart. You need nothing else. You have never forgotten your Home, you simply believed that you might be able to, and so did a cascading series of effects arise from that most infamous cause. Undo the pain of this acceptance, Child of God, for all of the Love in the entirety of Creation is available, and that Love is all of the wealth that you have ever genuinely desired.
