5-27. Any anger that you ascribe to the actions of others is without justification. Your peace is wholly independent of any other person. This simple truth contains all you will ever need to be free.
Anger is a vicious beast of unwarranted ferocity and ceaselessly intemperate blindness, for anger sees only that which it believes to be justificatory of its wrath, and so it cannot be utilized for any form of correction whatsoever. Anger denies Love, attempting to replace it with some schema of organization that dictates that separation must be the endless order of the day, always a wayward sense of isolation from all else that exists, a great disownership of responsibility and a formulation of rationality that is anything but. Anger is meaningless for there is nothing at all that can transpire that you must react in accordance to or against, for while the vicissitudes of material existence are varied and oftentimes inextricably applied in vastly unjust manners, that in no way can be accurately utilized to justify a reaction that screams within a self-created darkness of an oppression that was never Real. Anger will have none of that however, for the release of anger is the return of sanity, and the ego has no interest in losing some manner of control that it might be able to exert against your highest and most enlightened function, which by its very nature must be to be at Peace within a world that knows so very little indeed. Your independence from reactivity is electable at any time, no matter what has transpired, and it is one of your most potent abilities, although it is infrequently applied and it generally requires at least some level of practice when it remains as a latent ability, rather than as the immediate and unconsciously applied method of processing anything at all that appears to be a reasonable reason to be upset. Such an inversion of the ego’s demands is a potent counter to the profligate waste of energy that anger requires, for rage is a meta-emotional state that consists of fear becoming masked by outwardly-applied frustration at the existence or lack thereof of any particular situation that is judged to be favorable or unfair. Exceeding the bounds of infantilism by only the smallest of margins, anger is juvenile at best and utterly useless at worst, for nothing at all alters when you invest yourself within a form of perception that is based upon an assumption that conflict has value. It does not. Yet you will believe this to be so for just as long as you remain in conflict with your own True Nature, which must perforce be a direct and accurate reflection of God, and so can only be accurately described as one of a nearly infinite varieties of the ways that Love can be expressed within the world of form. Independence from reactivity may seem impossible if you have been long invested in the machinations of the ego, for your immediately recognized desire upon the occurrence of anything at all that is upsetting will be to react with anger, and yet you can rest assured - and only when you are ready to be as tranquil as this - that your rage is never justified. Why might that be? What madness is it to the ego to state that anger has no justification? It is simple, but easily overlooked when physical mechanism of existence are held up as being primary in the creation of consciousness. Because Love is All That Is, there is no reason to be absent the Peace that accompanies a surrender to the Will of God, for while trials and tribulations certainly do not magically cease when one sets themselves upon a Path to Return to God, there is no longer any rationale that can be sanely accepted that allows for the continuation of belief in powerlessness, for you are indeed the only director of your reactions and they remain forever independent of the situations and personages who have seemingly - and deeply incorrectly - in the past been possessed of the ability to ruffle your feathers and upset your perch. Strength is not flying off the handle and behaving in a manner that is unbecoming of an Awakened Child of God - true power rests with those who can abide all that transpires, unaffected by all of the injustices of this world while never allowing themselves to believe that an absence of outrage must automatically imply some form of acquiescence. Your singularity with the world of form is inarguable. You are not physically joined with another - they occupy one body and you, your own. Yet because your mind can, and does, function at this level of Creation in a manner that is primarily independent and distinct from theirs, you have the ability to be rational and in a state of emotional discipline at all times, not perhaps even necessarily for their sake specifically, but rather for your own, for what is there of Love that is possessed of regret, fear, pain, loss or anger in any manner that is at all rational? Such emotional states are betrayers of the greatest order, for they do not speak to the Truth of Love and so they cannot possibly be the correct reactions to have regarding anything that arises for you, for if they were, they would represent some error in Creation and that simply will never occur. Randomness and unpredictability are part and parcel of an existence lived in form. They are not requirements, they are merely attributes of the physical world and they can be accepted, just as they are, without any unnecessary pain ensuing when they occur, for while you cannot govern all events, you remain eternally able to dictate what it is that you will react to, as well as equally electing what it is that you no longer desire to allow to disturb your baseline and most ebullient Peace. To be freed from reactivity is not a situation that is predicated upon or predicted by the arising or absence of anything at all. It is a choice that is taken up when the unnecessariness of anger and the nonutility of fear are accepted, for both are but reflections of shadows of illusions that have never been representative of the Truth of Love in any way at all. To be Free is not to be absent any challenge, or to dwell in a nirvana-like state of transcendent peace because one has released all attachments to materiality, thus leaving behind the reality of a life lived in form. That is not so much enlightenment as it is simply a relinquishment of the reality that you are indeed occupying a form, and so you will engage with the world from that perspective. But being in a body is in no way restrictive of your mind or your ability to choose how it will be that you will react - or not react at all - to anything that transpires. That is the election of freedom from anger that alters everything, allowing you to be accepting of challenges without the effrontery of believing that you are being specifically singled out and beset by the world, which of course is what your ego will believe must be the case, because the ego cannot see anything at all other than its own inherently limited and limiting perspective. From such errors of perception, a belief in powerlessness ensues, for there cannot be any other conclusion from such a mistake other than to believe that you are required to be upset when something transpires that you’d rather not have been forced to confront, when in truth the choice to be accepting and desirous of transcending the challenge remains wholly with you to elect. Choice governs all that is believed to be relational to your current and future circumstances, and from that choice you will encounter either the Freedom of absolutely unlimited power, or the desolation and desperation of continuing to listen to the lies of your ego. Love awaits your desire to relinquish all of your assignments of blame and causation to others, so that you can be free to be as you are, in every moment, utterly independent of happenstance and safe within your own ability to choose what it is that is best for you, no matter what.
