5-30. To maintain anger, being so opposed to Truth, requires a far greater expenditure of energy than to be joyful, a state which is in complete alignment with Truth. This choice remains eternally yours.
Anger is a perverse formulation of reactivity that is designed to obscure that which is Real, as well as being designated as a refuge against a world that appears - solely to the ego - to be invested in such miserable determination to assail you at every possible instance that it becomes believed that anger and sadness must be the only - and even more insanely - most appropriate forms of reactivity to a world that is truly unknown when it is so poorly understood. The chaos and unpredictability of the material world is never personal. All that transpires is neutral, for there are but the baseline constituent components of physicality, and then there are their multifold interactions, all occurring within a space of possibility that vast indeed, but which is absolutely not infinite. There are countless ways within which matter and energy can interact, but there are not unlimited variations, and that it well indeed. Were it not to be so, there could arise one day some situation so unknown and so amazingly disruptive that all prior complaints would pale in comparison - perhaps light would simply stop propagating through the interstellar medium, or the sun would instantaneously expand past the orbit of neptune. Imagine the disruption to everyone’s plans that would cause. They’d have little time to be angry about it however, as they would of course be obliterated by such an occurrence. Anger is never the correct response to anything at all that occurs, primarily because it is not actually a genuine emotion. Anger is a composition of a number of interacting variables, all working towards a common goal that is so ludicrously opposed to Love that is nearly meaningless to even attempt to contemplate what it is that anger wishes to effect, for anger knows nothing at all and so it is composed of pure reactivity, primarily fueled by a sadness that has no ready resolution. That is not the Way of God, and it has no value for you. This is not apparent, of course, when you continue to believe that anger carries with it some form of energy or purpose - righteous indignation being an excellent example of the twisted and blind nature of rage directed outwardly that is only genuinely destructive of your own innate peace and tranquility. That which is given to others is equally received by you, and so all that you offer to the world and its inhabitants must, due to the Nature of God, be equally effected for or against your own core constitution and generalized consciousness in a process that ensures that there can be no separation or isolation from Love or any of the Creations of God, but that also serves you poorly indeed when you desire to react to the world form from a perspective of effrontery and disgust, when acceptance and transcendence would serve you so much more efficaciously indeed. Anger consumes all that it ingests, requiring ever greater levels of input to yield fantastically diminishing results, for it is a fire that consumes its own spark and then burns through the ground that supports it, destroying all that it can grasp as it desperately seeks a justification for its existence that has no reflection in Truth. Anger, in any form, no matter the reason for its adoption, is never justified. The ego cannot understand that. But it need not, for your heart is always fully cognizant of this, and so there can be no sustainment of anger in the face of the acceptance that relinquishes all attempts to hold the world to a standard of behavior or systematically applied series of presumptions that are simply inapplicable, as well as being so very ineffective. There are no guarantees within the material universe, save for the fact that while there can be an outrageously large number of possible interactions between all that is matter and energy, that probabilistic space is not infinite, and so there will not be events that have no possibility of prediction whatsoever. Anger is as this as well - it is quite easy, other than in some outlying cases which are rather unlikely, to predict what it is that will anger you or another Child of God, as well as what it might be that will salve such self-inflicted wounds. To be angry is to attempt to deny the Truth of Love, and that is a sorry state to occupy indeed, for much energy must be invested within such a misperception, and all of that effort will come from you alone - God will not support you when you attempt to posit that there are rationalizations that justify anger in any way that it can be conceived or expressed. Anger is not the opposite of Love, for Love is Infinite and anger is absolutely constrained to a certain set of principles of organization and expression that may vary wildly, but which are always grounded within certain general presumptions that are fundamentally universal in origin. Anger is a mistake of perception - nothing more. Mistakes are errors, and errors are correctable. If you should wish, God will assist you to correct your error. That is effortless, for it requires simply turning away from judgment and presumption and towards the acceptance that this world of form is as it is because it is a very effective place to engage with when you are desirous of learning of all that you are not, so that all errors of perception can be first mitigated and then released completely. To be angry is to attempt to deny that Love remains forever accessible, no matter how dire your personal situation might be at any particular time. To be joyful is to be in alignment with God, for there is but the Joy of acceptance that you are already Saved from all illusions - not that you have necessarily Awoken to See that you are already Complete, but rather that all that was requested was Given, and so there is nothing that actually needs to be done to be Freed from anger and fear, save for your relinquishment of all desires to believe that you must “progress” in some manner that attempts to propose that you are not, right now, already complete and whole, just as you were Created. Anger will sap all of your vitality and inner strength because it must be sustained as an illusion of a frightful magnitude, when no such infinitely incorrect operation need be maintained. Choice divides all reactivity into that which is a requirement - which, in Truth, is nothing at all - and that which is continuously elective, which is all that is genuinely correct about experiencing a reaction to anything that transpires that fails to hold the Truth of Love as the final conclusion of all that has occurred, for there will be a time when time is no longer needed, and in the interim, there will be much that will be experienced that will Teach all of the Children of God who have such need of lessons in what it is to be as they are, which of course must be to be at Peace and filled with a Joy that requires no justification, for it simply is, and that has always been exactly perfect. Perhaps discipline will be required on your part to always fearlessly examine why it is that you are reacting as you are, and then to inquire as to whether you genuinely desire to be so beset by your own election, and finally and subsequent to all other contemplations, what it is that you genuinely desire to manifest. Have no doubt that such ponderings will only lead to one final conclusion - it is Love that you desire and require, for all that is not Love is not of God, and so it is temporal and it will not continue forever. Love is readily and easily accessible at all times, in all situations, and with regard to all of the other incarnate Children of God that you have ever or will ever encounter within this world of form, but it is only your choice to believe that for some of them, Love was not the correct response. It always was and it always will be, for all that is elected with Love as its foundation will be supported and directed by God, and so no genuine effort will be required. What surety this is, and what wondrous Peace accompanies such a final and irreversible conclusion, for once it has become manifest just once in its absolute form, never again will you be able to fall back into the illusion of anger. That is not to say that anger will not arise - it almost certainly will, for it is a heady habit that is not soon relinquished simply because it has been seen for what it is. What will cease however is any continuation of a desire to become wholly consumed by anger, or lost within its madness, for while you may still experience frustration or even genuine rage, there will remain a quiet and certain corner of your mind that will always Remember the Peace of God, and so the choice to relinquish all that is ineffective in favor of the Path that leads back to infinite Joy will not be forgotten - it may merely be diverted from for a little while. The Path remains just as it has always been. Your choice is what decides when you shall step upon it. Never doubt that you will - it cannot be avoided, merely delayed. Anger is insane because only Love is Eternal. Once this is understood, it will be lived in nearly all of the moments yet to unfold, and the Peace that shall accompany such a surrender and correction will explain all that is ever required to be known or experienced.
